Job Description and Responsibilities:

Wells is a business unit of United Components Inc., a $1 billion leading worldwide manufacturer and distributor of automotive parts and components to the aftermarket and specialized original equipment channels. Wells has been providing quality auto parts since 1903. We currently provide over 33,000 SKU's to the aftermarket. Our quality is reflected in the products we sell, as well as in the services we provide to support our products and customers!

Our Electronics Assembly plant produces automotive ignition, sensor, and emission control components. Due to our continued business success, this facility has an opening for a Technician.

Our technicians are responsible for the equipment in their manufacturing cell. They are responsible for equipment programming adjustments, mechanical and electronic equipment repair, equipment/tooling setup and programming, as well as assisting cell operators in resolving production problems. They are supported by the area supervisor and area equipment engineer. These cells have highly automated processes that use extensive automation technology in the assembly of electronic product. The cell produces product from component placement to finished product.

Job Requirements:

The job requires an associate degree in electronics, electro-mechanical technology or automated manufacturing systems, strong communication and problem solving skills, and knowledge of Word and Excel. Prefer previous hands-on industrial experience diagnosing equipment failures and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, electric and electronic systems, along with experience in programming controllers in an automated manufacturing environment. We will consider recent grads from an electo-mechanical associate degree program or equivalent program.
