At the turn of the 20th century, Robert Wells made his humble beginning in an area of this building. Today, that same area houses a state-of-the-art toolroom and laboratory. Since then, Wells' headquarters has expanded to take in the rest of the buildings on the entire block. It is also residence to Wells administrative functions, as well as punch press stamping, screw machine functions, and plating.

Fond du Lac, WI - Electronics
In 1983, Wells constructed a 21st century electronics facility in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Due to the large growth in both Aftermarket and O.E. business, enhancements to this building took place in 1995 and 1997. As a result of the technology and robotics utilized, even the largest automobile makers rival this facility. Shipments from this facility support the automotive industry in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. This facility was QS 9000 certified in 1996, ISO 14001 certified in 2003, and ISO/TS 16949 certified in 2005. A highly skilled work force combined with advanced technical capabilities, allow this facility to produce leading edge products with unsurpassed quality.

Centerville, IA - Distribution
Distribution is a key to the success of our business. In 1986, Wells built a state-of-the-art, centrally located two-hundred-thousand square-foot distribution complex in Centerville, Iowa. This facility features its own proprietary packaging lines, an extremely detailed managing system and real time inventory control that is directly linked to headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Packaging is printed using cutting-edge technology. One hundred percent scanning ensures barcodes are scan ready and reliable when you receive them. Wire-guided vehicles stock and pick orders from a line with more than 33,000 part numbers in our system and continually growing. In addition to being ISO 14001 and QS 9000 certified, we received the 2004 Iowa Recycling Award for Excellence. This award recognizes companies’ solid waste handling and recycling practices. Reynosa, MX - Manufacturing
In 1988, Wells broke ground for a contemporary manufacturing facility in a nearly empty industrial park in Reynosa, Mexico. Since then more than 200 other American businesses have joined us here. This facility is home to state-of-the-art thermoplastic injection presses and finishing equipment. Our Reynosa plant manufactures distributor caps and rotors, coils, ignition wires, and solenoids. Seamless communication between our Reynosa plant and headquarters in Wisconsin is accomplished through our data lines. We test every manufactured part to O.E. or specifications that are more stringent.
